Fairview RCMP responded to a call for suspicious activity on Sunday, Dec. 10 at a rural business in Clear Hills County resulting in two arrests.
Stephen Saunders, aged 46 and a resident of Grande Prairie, and Wesley Potratz, aged 47 and a resident of Rycroft, were charged with multiple crimes.
Saunders was charged with breaking and entering, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of break in instruments, failing to stop for police, and failing to comply with release order (x15).
Potratz was charged with breaking and entering, possession of break in instruments and stolen property under $5000, failing to stop for police, failing to comply with release order (x2), and driving while unauthorized.
Their next court date is scheduled for Dec. 13 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview.
Cameras on the property had shown two people carrying jerry cans and hoses.
“Fairview RCMP responded to the complaint and located two individuals who attempt to flea from police but were unsuccessful and subsequently arrested,” reads a media release.
